Falling Asleep to Science Fiction
April 20, 2011
Waves from another
planet kneaded moonflesh and
resculpted its face
to rocky bone. Now
black and white radiation
overtakes suburbs.
Cars bubble. Riots
scour our streets until just
the TV towers
point. Silence stretches
between the screams of slowing
tank tracks and they seize
too. All motion nods before
the next commercial.
